I found amusing the way the yellow lines shifted in this composition. We see very ordinary yellow traffic control lines, become a prominent factor in this Austin, TX street scene. The simple varied grey around the yellow lines make them jump. The cars look a little melted in the supposed afternoon heat. 8×8 inch, oil on canvas.

To me, the street looks like snow. And it’s very typical of Texas winters…snow one day, heat the next. Good captivation of the essence of variable Texas weather!
