Hide-a-Way

Sustaining Light
A vista of my native San Miguel, ha. Because of its 3’x3’ size, and the extensive information to render, I found myself engrossed in a wet-on-dry method. It was similar to what is called a “dry brush” approach. I call it, “dry knife”. The atmosphere and light in this piece bring it with strength.
Be Little Birches
This Little 4×4 was a tiny demonstration piece. I was describing the power of hand movement gesture in painting…I said, “which is very tricky on a canvas this small”. The trees give it a nice lift.
