The dark lower half of this painting brings to mind the “residue” that people leave on what they can reach. I’m rather fascinated by the fingerprints, handprints, “filth” transferred around doors where people pass in and out and leave their prints. Crazy. I know. Anyway, I like this painting for that reason.
