Approaching Dallas

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:23 pm

This piece was rendered from an image taken while traveling on the freeway. Before this moment, I don’t recall any particular significance in “Approaching Dallas”. The movement and extensive depth make it sing, the sense of being on the road is delivered. I plan to continue exploring captivating beauty within our, often, sped by urbanism. It is 8″x8″, oil on canvas.

  4. This is movement, it has someplace to go and it is anxious to get there. I remember a time when I loved to get in the car and just to somewhere…drive along…stop at Dairy Queen…and anticipate getting to the next place. And, this is it. Anxious to get there but not really in a big hurry.
