A vista of my native San Miguel, ha. Because of its 3’x3’ size, and the extensive information to render, I found myself engrossed in a wet-on-dry method. It was similar to what is called a “dry brush” approach. I call it, “dry knife”. The atmosphere and light in this piece bring it with strength.

Strikingly vibrant and beautiful ….. makes me incredibly nostalgic for the sensuous layers of texture and color of S.M., which I miss back here in D,C.

It is hard for me to believe the amount of detail that you obtain with a knife. I would love to see this in person. Is it in the gallery here in SMA?
